Since arriving on the Shamley campus, Alyssa Abbott has always put her students first and makes sure she is always doing what is best for them to thrive.
She believes in each of her students individually, and takes the time to know each of them personally, both in and out of school.
She holds herself and her first grade students to the highest standards and builds a classroom where her students believe in themselves and each other. Students come into her classroom with smiles on their faces ready to learn every day. Alyssa truly loves her job and her students are always at the forefront of everything she does.
The 2024 Tempe Elementary Excellence Awards is a program of recognition that allows our district to honor employees that demonstrate excellence in their work. This year’s awards encompasses one winner from each Tempe Elementary school or site including the three District office locations of Brogan, Bustoz, and Sanchez. In total, we have 26 Excellence Award Winners this school year.
All employees were encouraged to nominate any fellow district employee who has embodied our District theme of Believe.
