Principal's Message

I am honored to be the leader of Cecil Shamley School K-8. Our team of educators and staff are committed to learning and student academic achievement. I have had the honor to serve in the field of education for 15 years and I look forward to many more years of inspiring and empowering students to be all that they can be. 

I have been a teacher, associate principal, assistant principal, and athletic director prior to my time at Cecil Shamley. I completed my undergraduate degree at Arizona State University and my Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Northern Arizona University.

As an educator and parent, I greatly value and appreciate parent involvement. Our partnership is essential for achieving student success. To help all students achieve their full potential, they must be provided with a safe, caring, and academically focused environment. Our school uses Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support (PBIS) to assist students in making quality decisions each day. Our expectations are that students are respectful, responsible, safe, and ready to learn every day.
